Felix, my first cat who taught me to love cats.

Felix playing with Fluffy, a cat living next door. An extraordinarily smart cat, Fluffy used to come to our door, scratch until we let him in, and then take Felix for a walk around the neighbourhood. An hour later he would bring Felix back home and leave. He was killed by a car on a quiet street a year later. He is the reason why I don't let my cats out at all.

Felix, guarding the van on a camping trip. He loved camping and canoeing and never wondered away, even if we let him loose in a field. He did act a lot like a very smart dog.

Semi. A tiny female who was either a feral kitty or abused. She was scared of her own shadows and very shy, even with me. Oh, but she was soooo cute!

Ahh, Pheena, my "cat from hell". She had bad PMS about 95 % of the time and once cornered a classmate of mine on the balcony and wouldn't let her back in. Left the girl horrified...

Yoda at about 4 weeks. I think the reason for his name is quite obvious.

Jasper, or Jazzberry. Notice the swelling on his left cheek - a huge abscess he ripped open a couple of days after this photo was taken.

Jasper and his sister, Buddy. He still looks pretty bad here, but was actually on the mend, even though most of the skin on his left cheek was gone. He looked pretty gruesome for a while.

Family portrait. This is my favourite photo. Can't believe they posed for me like this.

Ceasefire. Pheena (top right) never warmed up to the new additions and fought with them often. This was one of the rare peaceful moments when she tolerated them.

Where's the remote? This is another of my all time favourites. It is a typical representation of Jasper - relaxed, not a care in the world.
